I’ve never been to any fancy amusement parks. It was also my first time to go Manila. Even before, I already planned to go to Tagaytay if I have chance to go to Manila. Last May I really had the chance to visit there. I had a 2 weeks vacation in Quezon City to visit Jas and during my visit, we really took the chance to travel new places.
I asked him if it is possible to go to Tagaytay so after researching, we decided to go there. Tagaytay is 2-3 hrs from Pasay (depending on the traffic situation). Since we are staying in Quezon City, we have to commute to go to Pasay. There are few bus lines going to Tagaytay. Bus terminal is beside Chowking (below Taft Mrt, you can see Chowking). Bus fare going to Tagaytay is around P80.oo. We asked the conductor where we can drop to go to Sky ranch and he told us we will just drop to Mendez. We left Pasay around 10am and arrived there in Tagaytay around 2pm (medyo traffic!). From Mendez we rode jeepney going to Skyranch and only paid the regular P8.00 fare and it is easy because you can already see the Ferris wheel from afar. Just tell your jeepney driver to stop and drop you off if you can already see the Skyranch entrance (beside the highway).
Skyranch admission fee is P100.oo. This amusement park has many rides people can enjoy but the most sought after is their Ferris Wheel. The Tagaytay Eye, officially known as “Sky Eye”, is the Tallest Ferris Wheel in the country at 63 meters (207 ft) with 32 gondolas, beating the MOA Eye at 55 meters (180 ft) with 36 gondolas, and the Enchanted Kingdom’s Wheel of Fate at 130ft. Riding the Ferris wheel is
We paid P150.oo to ride in the Sky Eye which each gondolas has 4 seating capacity and air conditioned. It is a 10 minute ride where you can see the view of Taal Volcano.
Another exciting ride people can enjoy is the Super Viking. This is such a thrilling ride but I don’t want to try it hehe:D
We rode to another ride which is the Sky Cruiser, riding a bike several feet high up in the air which you can see Taal volcano from above.
If you feel hungry after your enjoyable rides, No worries because there are many restaurants to choose from. (y)
We were not able to go to Peoples Park in the Sky because we didn’t had enough time so maybe the next visit we will surely include it in our itenerary. My Tagaytay experience for now is enough and I’m extremely happy to ride in their ferris wheel especially with Jas ❤
